Buckeyes making a significant impact at County Fairs in Ohio and Minnesota

Kristen Nicole Barnett of Clark County Ohio went home with a lot of ribbons and trophies this year!  She was successful with her goats, ducks, turkeys and chickens at the 2013 fair but it was her Buckeye Cock that was #1 Cock (large fowl). Kristen’s parents, Jason & Stacie Barnett are very proud of their daughters accomplishments and the hard work she puts into her 4H projects.

At the Olmsted County Fair in Rochester, Minnesota the Buckeyes also did well for the 4H kids. Shown by the Courson family, they took Grand and Reserve with a Buckeye Cock and Hen, breeding pen.  Below are pictures courtesy of Theri Voss and Prairie Chick Poultry.

The American Buckeye Club would like to congratulate ALL the 4H children and families who participated in showing poultry at county fairs all over the country and to those who elected to show Buckeyes, thanks for supporting the breed!
